Active recovery

What is it?

Active recovery generally will follow a hard workout. Adding activities such as walking, yoga/stretches, and lighter activities will count towards active recovery.

When we actively recover we continue to move blood throughout the body which aids the muscles in the healing process.

How to incorporate it?

Take a walk the day after your workout.

This is by far the easiest way to incorporate it into your routine.
